§ John McCain is running for the Republican Party and is currently the Senator of Arizona. He was previously a military officer and held numerous political offices.
§ Barack Obama’s is running for the Democratic party and his background consists of a Law degree from Harvard and is currently the Senator of Illinois.
§ Hillary Clinton is also running for the Democratic Party and her background consists of a Law degree from Yale and currently the Senator of New York.
§ Hillary Clinton plans if elected president to withdraw troops from Iraq with in her first sixty days in office.
§ Hillary also states that her top priorities will be to end the war in Iraq, to reinforce the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan, and to rebuild our shattered alliances. She believes these are three priorities are all essential components of restoring American power and leadership around the world.
§ Hillary believes gay and lesbian couples should have the same rights and responsibilities as all Americans, and \ that civil unions are the best way to achieve this goal. As President, she states that she will ensure that all Americans in committed relationships have equal benefits.
§ Barack Obama states that his main priority as president is to end the war in Iraq and restore America’s credibility around the world.
§ John McCain believes in regards to the amendment that defines marriage between man and woman that the institution of marriage should be protected and defined as a union between one man and one woman. This definition recognizes the fundamental role of the traditional family in shaping, stabilizing and strengthening our communities and our nation.
§ Barack Obama on Wednesday rejected Hillary Clinton's claims to be a champion of working families and portrayed his presidential rival as a defender of corporate interests and the status quo.
§ Hillary Clinton is proposing billions of dollars a year to keep jobs from being shipped abroad this is her plan to trim rival Barack Obama's lead.
